Professional Race Simulation Hardware, Software and an Historic Facility

Indy Simulation features a full-motion race simulator chassis for the ultimate in realism. Feeling how the vehicle reacts to the environment, driver input, and setup changes is essential to maximize the benefits of simulation. Our simulator features full motion capability through advanced haptic feedback technology as well as advanced force feedback steering and vibratory feedback throughout the simulator chassis. Our mobile simulator can be driven using a 49″ diagonal curved monitor or immersive three-dimensional Virtual Reality.

Owned and operated by Cary Bettenhausen, son of 4-time USAC National Champion and 21-time Indianapolis 500 starter Gary Bettenhausen, Cary grew up working on midgets, sprint cars, and Indianapolis 500 entries. He then went on to pursue a product design career, becoming proficient at 2D and 3D CAD, doing both contract work in a variety of industries and co-founding a successful medical products company.

While still enjoying medical product design work, Cary has returned to his first love, racing – but this time in the virtual world – where his real-world racing and computer experience come together at Indy Simulation. His real-world experience at the racetrack and on a workstation, combined with an ongoing enjoyment of PC-based CAD, data management and gaming all bring value to the Indy Simulation experience.

Along the way, Cary earned his FAA Private Pilot Airman’s Certificate (Airplane Single Engine Land). You may have noticed the aircraft propeller in Indy Simulation’s logo and the tagline “Raceways to Runways”. We also enjoy flight simulation here and although not FAA hardware-certified for logging flight time, our mobile simulator can be readily configured for flight. The benefits of flight simulation extend far beyond being able to count hours in a Pilot’s Logbook. Call us and we’ll be happy to discuss these benefits.

We also provide free test drive demonstrations for professional quality simulation hardware and software along with sourcing and design consulting services for those wishing to build their own dream driving or flight simulator.
